How to Make Creamy and Simple Sweets
A soft, creamy dessert that’s perfect for indulging your sweet tooth without breaking your diet. Low in calories and sugar-free, it satisfies cravings guilt-free. See below the list of all ingredients and required quantities. And then, a very complete preparation method with details of the recipe.
Ingredients:
- 400 ml of milk → 13.5 fluid ounces
- 320 ml of water → 10.8 fluid ounces
- 1 teaspoon (heaping) of agar-agar (if unavailable, substitute with unflavored gelatin).
- 3 tablespoons of coffee powder
- 2 tablespoons of stevia sweetener (or another sweetener of your choice).
Agar-agar: It is a microalgae used to thicken, gel, and stabilize desserts, providing greater consistency to recipes. It can be found in health food stores, online, and compounding pharmacies.
Instructions:
First, place the coffee grounds in a saucepan, add 240 ml (8.1 fl oz) of water, and heat it over medium heat without letting it boil.
Then, once the mixture is warm, turn off the heat and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Next, place the agar-agar in a bowl, add 80 ml (2.7 fl oz) of water, and stir well with a spoon until completely dissolved. Set aside.
After that, in another saucepan, heat the milk, add the strained coffee, and mix in the dissolved agar-agar.
Then, whisk everything together using a manual whisk or a spoon, turn the heat back on, and bring it to a boil.
Add the stevia sweetener (or any sweetener of your choice) and keep stirring until well combined.
Finally, transfer the mixture to silicone molds and refrigerate for about 2 hours until it sets.
If you prefer, you can use a glass bowl instead of molds. Once the dessert has firmed up, cut it into pieces.
To finish, carefully remove it from the molds, place it on a plate, and serve.
