This Creamy Milk Cake is a no-fuss dessert that’s as comforting as it is delicious. Blending the richness of coconut milk with the softness of a custard-like texture, this cake is the perfect treat to enjoy with coffee, tea, or even as a light after-dinner sweet. It’s super easy to prepare—no mixer or complicated steps required—and uses ingredients you likely already have in your kitchen.

Creamy Milk Cake

Ingredients:

  • 3 large eggs

  • 200 ml coconut milk (about 6.8 fl oz)

  • 500 ml whole milk (about 16.9 fl oz)

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter or margarine (melted)

  • 1 small cup sweetened condensed milk (about ½ cup or 120 ml)

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (about 140g / 4.9 oz)

  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven:
Set your oven to 180°C (350°F). Lightly grease a medium-sized baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal later.

2. Prepare the batter:
In a large mixing bowl, crack in the eggs and whisk until they’re well blended. Add the coconut milk, regular milk, melted butter (or margarine), sweetened condensed milk, and sugar. Stir until smooth and fully combined.

3. Add the flour:
Gradually add the flour into the wet mixture, whisking continuously to prevent lumps. The batter will be quite liquid—this is normal, as it will set while baking to form a custardy texture.

4. Pour and bake:
Carefully pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 40–50 minutes, or until the top is lightly golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean. The cake will still have a soft, pudding-like center, which is part of its charm.

5. Cool and serve:
Let the cake cool at room temperature for at least 15–20 minutes before slicing. It can be served warm, at room temperature, or even chilled—depending on your preference. The texture becomes firmer and even creamier once refrigerated.

Tips & Variations:

  • Use a blender if you prefer a super smooth batter—just toss everything in and blend for 1–2 minutes.

  • For an extra touch, sprinkle shredded coconut on top before baking.

  • Want it sweeter? Add a tablespoon or two more of sugar to taste.

  • You can substitute evaporated milk for regular milk for a richer flavor.

  • A dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of caramel sauce makes a lovely finishing touch!
