Garlic Cumin Spare Ribs Recipe
Ingredients:
2 pounds pork spare ribs, cut into 1-inch pieces
2 tablespoons cooking oil
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup light soy sauce
1/4 cup oyster sauce
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 green onions, chopped
Red chili peppers, sliced (optional)
Instructions:
Blanch the ribs: In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the ribs. Boil for 5 minutes, then drain and rinse under cold water.
Marinate the ribs: In a large bowl, combine the ribs with the garlic, ginger, chili powder, cumin, black pepper, salt, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and rice vinegar. Mix well to coat the ribs evenly. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight in the refrigerator.
Cook the ribs: Heat the cooking oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ribs and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned on all sides.
Add the aromatics: Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Finish the dish: Add the green onions and red chili peppers (if using) and cook for another minute.
Serve: Transfer the ribs to a serving platter and enjoy!
