Meatballs with potatoes and white sauce
Preparation:
Let’s start by seasoning the meat. Add salt to taste, add the finely chopped calabresa sausage and add the seasonings, except for the curry (add the oregano, chimichurri, lemon pepper, black pepper and 2/3 of the onion).
In a pan, sauté the onion briefly and add the meat. Sauté well until it reaches the point you desire.
Next, peel and slice the potatoes. Cook the potatoes for 15 minutes in water with a little salt and drain.
While the potatoes are cooking, let’s prepare the white sauce: in a pan with olive oil, sauté the garlic and the rest of the chopped onion. Add the curry, then add the milk with the starch already dissolved in it and stir until thickened. Add the salt and black pepper. When you turn off the heat, add the coriander and stir.
Line the bottom and sides of a baking dish with the potatoes. Form the meatballs with your hands and place them on top of the potatoes, alternating with the rest of the potatoes. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top, cover everything with the white sauce and sprinkle a little more cheese.
In a preheated oven at 180 degrees, bake the potato gratin for approximately 45 minutes and enjoy this delicious Swedish recipe for meatballs with potatoes in white sauce.
