How To Make Puff Pastry Apple Roses
1. Peel, core, and thinly slice apples.
2. To prevent browning, immerse apple slices in a bowl of water with a squeeze of lemon juice and sugar.
3. Gently cook apple slices in the microwave for 3 minutes on high power or blanch them briefly in boiling water. Drain.
4. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). Cut puff pastry into long strips.
5. Spread a thin layer of apricot jam on a pastry strip. Arrange apple slices overlapping on the jam, starting from one end of the pastry.
6. Fold a small strip of pastry over the apple slices.
7. Carefully roll up the pastry to form a rose shape.
8. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
9. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
10. Let cool slightly before serving. Dust generously with icing sugar.
